What does this mean for you?
The commitments needed for certification means that Tansun’s customers benefit in the following ways;
-
Consistent quality. You know that you’re dealing with a highly competent team that does what it says it does and a company that has a Quality Management System in place to ensure we deliver effective products time after time.
-
Lower costs. As a Certified business we are more efficient businesses. And because we run a more cost-effective operation, we can keep our costs down and remain competitive whilst being a quality British manufacturer.
-
Continual improvements. To maintain our certification, we are audited every 3 years by an external body but we will also conduct frequent internal audits to ensure that standards are kept and that we are meeting the requirements of our accreditation.
-
Reduction of risk. Independent verification against a globally-recognised industry standard means you can rest assured that you are in professional hands that have a vast breadth of experience.

ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard
ISO 9001 is the internationally recognised standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS). It provides a framework and a set of principles that ensure a common-sense approach to the management of an organisation to consistently satisfy customers and other stakeholders. In simple terms, it provides the basis for efficient processes and effective people to deliver products or service time after time.
Tansun was assessed by the internationally recognised NQA, a leading global independently accredited certification body since 1988. NQA’s worldwide operations are accredited to perform management systems registrations by UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), ANAB (American National Standards Institute/Registrar Accreditation Board) and various other regional and industry-specific oversight bodies.
For 35 years Tansun has championed engineering excellence and has been at the forefront of innovations in the industry. For example, we developed the concept of infrared electric heaters alongside Philips technology. We also invented the world’s first weatherproof outdoor electric patio heater 20 years ago.
